Nature Portfolio
Nature Portfolio's flagship publication, Nature, is the world's leading multidisciplinary science journal. It also publishes the Nature-titled research journals.
As part of the Bespoke Design team, I worked closely with the marketing department to design promotional materials for new Nature Portfolio journal launches.
Nature Communications
Launch of a set of 3 new journals
I led the promotional designs for the launches Nature Communications Bioogy, Nature Communications Chemistry and Nature Communications Physics.
Accessible
These journals were aimed to be more accessible and friendly for younger or newer readers in the scientific community.
Promotional Journal Covers
We incorporated the logo colours in to the imagery. The simplicity and boldness made it easy to splice and pick apart to apply to different promotional materials.
Nature Astronomy
Landing page to celebrate the journal's 2 -year anniversary
I led the design for this promotional landing page for Nature Astronomy, working closely with the journal editor and experts in the field.
The brief requested a fun and interactive timeline that they could share on social media, and may encourage new research submissions to the journal.

Visual guide with notes
The black frame acts as if the user is viewing the timeline through a telescope. The page scrolls down with some subtle animations in the background. The call to actions are both at the bottom of the timeline, and permenantly stuck on the bottom left for visibilty.
Nature Italy
Brand new journal launch
My concept to promote a new journal, Nature Italy, aimed at the Italian scientific community.
The concept highlights the emerging public interest and challenges in Italian science and politics. While paying homage to iconic Italian figures such as Da Vinci.
New Nature-titled journals have a pre-determined colour chosen by the editor - in this case, the particular shade of orange.

Early Concepts
I knew I wanted to do a mixed media approach the contrasts in Italian science - new and old, public disinterest vs newfound interest.

Finalised Concept
To present the concept the client, I made mockups of all the marketing material.
